Fort Welikit Family Campground is a brand new addition to Customer, SD. Its 100 sites offer a little something for everyone. Although it doesn't have the same brand amenities as a nearby Sturgis RV Park, it has many of the same features that you would expect from a well-maintained campground. Its location is a definite plus. This is the ideal place to stay if you want to visit the Black Hills.
The Fort Welikit Family Campground & RV Park is located on the scenic Norbeck Highway. The area has many great attractions, making it a popular spot for people who visit the area to enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing, fishing, or golf. Hot Springs is the home of the Mammoth Site. This site has interesting information about the Pleistocene era. Hot Springs' Wind Cave is the only cave offering tours.
There are many sites for tents. The campground also has a playground and a dog park. Also, there is a grass volleyball field. The campground has an overhead shelter as well, which is a nice addition. An overhead shower house is also available.
The campground has a number of amenities, including a dog park, a laundry facility, and a dump station. Access to the free Wi-Fi service at the campground is also possible. While the Wi-Fi isn't the best, it's good enough to keep you connected while you're on the road. However, it may not work on all channels.
It's close to several of the best attractions in the area such as Crazy Horse, Badger Clark historical site, Jewel Cave, or Badger Clark cave. The campground is located within one mile of Custer's main street, making it an easy trip to see the sights. You can also take the Crazy Horse bus to the park, which departs every half an hour.
