
Fort Welikit Family Campground/RV Park is a relatively new addition in the Customer, SD region. The 100 sites have something for everyone. While it may not have the name brand amenities like a nearby Sturgis RV park, it does have a lot of the features you'd expect at a stately campground. Its convenient location is a big plus. This is the best place to find a place to rest while you visit the Black Hills.
The Fort Welikit Family Campground is located on Norbeck Highway. The area has many great attractions, making it a popular spot for people who visit the area to enjoy outdoor activities such as skiing, fishing, or golf. The nearby town of Hot Springs is home to the famous Mammoth Site, which has yielded interesting information about the Pleistocene period. Hot Springs also offers tours through the Wind Cave.

There are many sites for tents. The campground also has a playground and a dog park. The campground also has a grass volleyball court. There is also an overhead shelter at the campground. This is a nice touch. An overhead showerhouse is also available.
You can find many amenities at the campground such as a dog park, laundry facility and a dump station. You can also take advantage of the campground's Wi-Fi service, which is free. The Wi-Fi may not be the best but it will keep you connected when you are on the road. It may not be available on all channels.
The best thing about this park? It's located near some of the region's most fascinating attractions like Crazy Horse, Badger Clark, Jewel Cave and Badger Clark. You can also visit the Custer main street within a mile from the campground. If you aren't in the mood for a drive, you can catch a ride on the Crazy Horse bus, which departs from the park every half hour.
Fort Welikit Family Campground received a South Dakota Department of Tourism "Great Service Star". This award recognizes campgrounds with exceptional customer service and an array of amenities. This includes a fully fenced dog park, a picnic table, and even fire circles. It's also an excellent place to go hiking or biking.

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is also held in the park during the summer. This is a great place to stop if you're visiting the area for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The campground also makes an excellent basecamp for your adventures. You don't have to ride big bikes. There are plenty of hiking trails nearby and you can play the links at Black Bear Golf Course. If you don't have a reservation yet, the camp is a very popular spot during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
